Students in 4C and 4F received back their rubrics for the introductory conversation. The results from this initial conversation were by in large very good. Students have gained fluency and much self-confidence in their ability to introduce themselves. They now know the following phrases:
Comment ça va? (How are you?) Quel est la date aujourd’hui? (What’s today’s date?) Quel âge as-tu? (How old are you?) Comment t’appelles-tu? (What’s your name?) We are now asking a different question: Quel temps-fait-il? (How is the weather?). We have studied a number of responses as well. We have been using the following site to study this: www.education.vic.gov.au/languagesonline/french/french.htm Students can find useful games and learning activities at this site. Lessons about how to tell the weather can be found at Section 28. The Weather: www.education.vic.gov.au/languagesonline/french/sect28/index.htm
